The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Thursday's Best NBA Bet

Georgia Bulldogs at Florida Gators (-5.5)

The Bulldogs should call themselves “The Fighting Mad Max’s,” because they truly are road warriors.

Georgia is an outstanding, 7-2 SU and 7-1 ATS in lined away games this season. The seven road wins are the most for the Bulldogs in 16 years.

“In order to have success on the road, it is truly because you have good players – guys who have bought in,” Georgia coach Mark Fox said. “And that is the reason this year, too."

Another key for the Road Dawgs is the team’s outstanding defense. While the team’s shot comes and goes, opponents are averaging a mere 65.5 point per game this season, the 108th best mark in the country. Even better, teams are making a lowly 39.8 percent of their jumpers, 26th best nationally.

And the Gators have been far from dominant at home this season. The team is a solid 12-3 SU on its own floor, but a pathetic 3-9 ATS in lined games. In fact, just seven of those 12 home victories have come by more than six points.

Florida also could take a big hit to its front court depth. Senior forward Chandler Parsons averages 10.8 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game this year, but has been out with a hip injury for nearly two weeks. His status is questionable against Georgia.

Pick: Georgia

Pick 'n' roll:

Thursday's Best NBA Bet

Boston Celtics at Denver Nuggets (3.5, 203.5)

Nuggets coach George Karl joked after his team’s 120-107 win over Memphis that his team plays better with a shorter bench. Maybe he should try suiting up just nine players again when his team hosts the Eastern Conference leading Celtics.

Well, or maybe just do whatever caused his team to shoot a blistering 12-of-28 from beyond the arc.

"I've been told by a lot of owners that I coach better when I have a shorter bench," Karl said. "I think everybody knows I enjoy these type of games where you have to mix and match some situations and circumstances and find some success."

But now, Karl must face a totally different challenge. Instead of relying just on a nucleus of remaining players, he must integrate forwards Wilson Chandler and Danilo Gallinari, centers Timofey Mozgov and Kosta Koufos and guard Raymond Felton into the lineup with a mere day of practice. Don’t expect the team to again feature a gaudy, 28-13 assist-to-turnover advantage against one of the league’s top defensive squads.

The Celtics have a day of rest and already have proven their ability to keep pace in an up-and-down game. Boston posted a convincing, 115-93 win in Golden State on Tuesday. The Celtics actually outscored the Warriors in fast break points that game, 30-22.

"We wanted to run. We wanted to push it up and see if we can beat them down the floor,” Celtics coach Doc Rivers said. “But what we didn't want to do is once we didn't have that quick layup or quick open shot, we wanted to set up and execute and go to the post. I thought we did a better job of that offensively in the second half and I thought that allowed us to set our defense."

Look for them to dust that game plan off against the mix-and-matched Nuggets.

Pick: Boston

NBA TNT Doubleheader Betting Preview

Miami Heat at Chicago Bulls (+2, 191)

Chicago will host Miami for the second time this season before taking its talents to South Beach next month. The previous encounter between these two Eastern beasts came on January 15, when Chicago held off the LeBron-less Heat 99-96 (spread was pushed). Kyle Korver hit a tiebreaking three with 25 seconds left and Dwyane Wade missed an answer attempt at the buzzer.

Miami (42-15, 29-27-1 ATS) will have to do a better job of containing All-Star point guard Derrick Rose, who scored 34 points and dished out eight assists. Chicago also dominated the rebounding battle 42 to 30. However, it would be a stretch to put any real stock in the outcome of that contest because LeBron James missed it due to an ankle injury.
The Bulls have the best home ATS record in the NBA.

The Bulls (38-16, 32-20-2 ATS) are heading into Thursday’s showdown off a Wednesday night visit to Toronto. They have been stellar in the second of back-to-back games this season, having posted a 10-4 SU record (7-6-1 ATS).

Turn up the Heat

Miami returned home from the All-Star break Tuesday and destroyed a woeful Sacramento team 117-97. The Big Three combined for 76 points, led by LeBron’s 31. Wade, refusing to sit out after tweaking his ankle in the fourth quarter of the All-Star Game, went for 23 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

Now, though, is when it starts to get tough for the Heat. Starting on Thursday, 12 of their next 13 games are against teams that are above .500. Eleven of those 12 contests will come against opponents that are currently at least eight game over .500.

“It’s not like our schedule has been easy up to this point,” head coach Erik Spoelstra told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. “We’ve played more road games than anybody else. So now we’ll play the best of the best. And if you’re a professional worth their salt, and if we truly are a contending team, we’ll find out about ourselves.”

It begins with Chicago, the best ATS home bet in the entire NBA. The Bulls are 25-4 at the United Center and 18-9-2 ATS. They have been doing it without Joakim Noah, who has missed the last 30 games due to a thumb injury. Noah, though, is healed up and ready to go this week.

Trending topics

The Bulls are 4-0 ATS in their last four overall and 4-0 ATS in their last four against the Eastern Conference.

The over is 4-1 in Chicago’s last five overall and 4-0 in its last four home games. The over is also 10-2 in Miami’s last 12 road contests against teams with winning home records.

Head-to-head, the under is 5-1 in the last six meetings and the favorite is 4-1-1 ATS in the last six encounters.

Boston Celtics at Denver Nuggets (+3.5, 203.5)

The Nuggets will be looking to avenge a blowout loss earlier in the season when they take the court at home against Boston (41-14, 27-26-2 ATS) Thursday. In a December 8 clash at the Garden, the Celtics surged to a 35-21 lead after one quarter and coasted to a 105-89 win, easily covering the seven points.

Carmelo Anthony did not play in that game because of a knee injury and won’t be in Colorado after being traded to the New York Knicks this week. Reserves Ty Lawson (24 points) and J.R. Smith (16 points) picked up the slack, but it was nowhere near enough as Denver made only 6 of 19 3-pointers and got out-rebounded 42 to 34. Ray Allen led the way for Boston with 28 points on 9-of-14 shooting and Rajon Rondo had 13 dimes.

Melo-drama over

The Nuggets (33-25, 25-30-3 ATS) completed their long-awaited blockbuster deal by sending Anthony to the Knicks Monday. Denver also shipped off Renaldo Balkman, Chauncey Billups, Anthony Carter and Shelden Williams while acquiring Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Kosta Koufos and Timofey Mozgov.
Denver looked good in its first game without Anthony.

“I can’t deny that when the trade went down last night, I was kind of more sad than happy,” head coach George Karl told the Denver Post on Tuesday.

Denver’s impressive performance one day after the deal, though, must have done a lot to cure Karl’s sorrows. The Nuggets led by as many as 27 points in both the third and fourth quarters before cruising to a 120-107 victory over Memphis and making a joke out of the 1.5-point spread.

Only eight men saw action for the shorthanded home team and all eight played at least 20 minutes. Smith led six Nuggets in double figures with 26 points, while Lawson and Arron Afflalo each contributed 21. Denver forked up 28 shots from downtown and drained 12 of them, including six by Smith.

The team should have its newcomers in uniform for Thursday’s contest.

Trending topics

The Nuggets are 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a SU win and they are 1-10 ATS in their last 11 against the NBA Atlantic.

The over is 5-1 in Denver’s last six overall and 8-1 in its last nine against the Eastern Conference.

Boston is 1-5 ATS in its last six trips to Denver. The home team is 10-2 ATS in the last 12 meetings between the two teams.

Ice picks:

Thursday's Best NHL Bets

Chicago Blackhawks at Nashville Predators (-115, 5.5)

Raise your hand if you have any idea how the Predators are going to score goals. Exactly.

The team has scored a mere six goals in its past four games, including getting shutout in a 4-0 defeat to the Blue Jackets that saw the team get a meager 20 shots on goal – only three of which came in the third period.

"We had too many turnovers and a lot of it was just soft on the puck," Predators coach Barry Trotz said. "They kept forechecking and I don't think we managed after the first goal."

But who is going to score for the Predators? Center Marcel Goc (nine goals, 15 assists) is out with an upper body injury and winger Sergei Kostitsyn (16 goals, 18 assists) missed the game against Columbus with an undisclosed injury that has him listed as questionable for Thursday night.

And don’t forget about stud defender Ryan Suter (one goal, 25 assists), who suffered an upper body injury last week against the Coyotes. Since he left the ice, the team has been outscored 5-1.

Expect the Blackhawks to be ready to take full advantage. Chicago is finally getting healthy and has started clicking offensively. The team is 3-1 over its past four games and has notched 14 goals over that span.

That should be plenty enough offense against the Predators.

Pick: Chicago

Toronto Maple Leafs at Montreal Canadiens (-145, 5.5)

Goaltender James Reimer may by just 22 years old, but he is doing something no other player has done for the Maple Leafs this season – give the team a chance to win every time he steps on the ice.

Reimer is 9-4-2 this season with a 2.12 goals-against average and a sterling .934 save percentage. The youngster has been especially consistent this month when the job was handed to him. In February, he is 5-1-2 and given up just 15 goals on 231 shots. With injuries to top goalies Jonas Gustavsson and Jean-Sebastien Giguere, the crease has been his to lose.

“He hasn’t cracked. These are all tough games, low-scoring and tight and he has to make five or six big saves a night,” Toronto coach Ron Wilson said. “He hasn’t made many mistakes. You minimize those, you give your team a chance to win.”

Meantime, Montreal’s Carey Price has been a brick wall against the Maple Leafs. Price has stopped all 57 shots he has faced in two home games against the Maple Leafs this year and is trying to become the first goalie in team history to shutout Toronto in each of Montreal’s three home games against their rival. For his career, Price has a .924 save percentage against the Maple Leafs.

“We’ll need solid goaltending and it will probably be one of those 3-2, 2-1, 1-0, games,” Wilson said. “That’s what I’m counting on, even though we haven’t scored a goal in Montreal this year. We have to find a way to crack Carey.”

NHL Betting Preview: Chicago at Nashville

Defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago (31-23-2-4) concludes a brief two-game road trip searching for its third straight victory. The Blackhawks are one of four teams currently with 68 points, but they would miss the playoffs if the regular season ended today.

Chicago ranks second in the league in power-play percentage (24.4) and fourth in goals per game (3.1), but the Blackhawks are just 15th in goals against (2.7) and 27th in penalty-kill percentage (78.2).

Nashville (31-21-5-3) presently finds itself in second place in the Central Division standings, and the team now resides in sixth place in the Western Conference. The Predators rank second in the league in goals against average (2.3), and third in penalty-kill percentage (85.9).

Chicago improved to 3-1 its last four outings after skating past St. Louis Monday as a 107 road underdog, 5-3. The combined eight goals toppled the 5 ½-goal closing total, helping the ‘over’ improve to 2-1 the past three performances.

The Blackhawks exploded for four goals in the second period, led by captain Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane who each recorded a goal and an assist. Rookie goaltender Corey Crawford stonewalled 31 shots in the victory, helping the team overcome a two-goal deficit after the first period.

Nashville enters this contest mired in a two-game losing skid after Tuesday’s setback to Columbus as a 104 road favorite, 4-0. The four goals failed to eclipse the five-goal closing total, helping the ‘under’ improve to 7-1-1 the previous nine games.

The game was scoreless until the third and final period when the Blue Jackets exploded for four goals. Goaltender Pekka Rinne stopped 26 shots, but the Predators were on the short end of shots on goal (30-20) and faceoffs won (35-24). Nashville was outshot, 13-3, in the final period.

The home team has won the last four games in this series, with both of the Predators victories occurring in shootouts. Chicago prevailed Dec. 22 as 140 home ‘chalk,’ 4-1, and Jan. 16 as a 180 home favorite, 6-3. Nashville triumphed Nov. 13 as a 115 home underdog, 4-3, and Jan. 15 as a 113 home ‘dog, 3-2. The ‘under’ is 2-1 the past three meetings, and 16-7-2 the previous 25 encounters.

Chicago right wing Fernando Pisani is ‘out’ indefinitely due to a concussion. The Blackhawks host Phoenix Sunday before traveling to Minnesota. Chicago has seen the ‘under’ go 8-3 the last 11 Thursday games.

Nashville left wing Sergei Kostitsyn (undisclosed) is ‘questionable’ versus the Blackhawks, while defenseman Ryan Suter (upper body injury) and center Marcel Goc (upper body) are ‘out’ indefinitely. The Predators follow this contest with Saturday’s road effort against Dallas. Nashville has seen the ‘under’ go 5-1-2 its last eight home endeavors, and the ‘under’ is 20-8-7 the previous 35 outings overall.

Thursday’s contest is slated to start at 5:00 p.m. PT from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

Bettors' Best Friend (BBF): Thursday's Wagering Tips

Injury Of Interest

Kendrick Perkins, Boston Celtics: Perkins is expected to miss the next three games with a strained MCL he suffered Tuesday, leaving the Celtics thin in the middle as Shaquille O’Neal and Jermaine O’Neal are both still out of commission as well. That likely leaves Semih Erden in line for more minutes over the next little while. Boston visits Denver on Thursday.

Key Trends

NBA: Chicago is 15-5-1 against the spread in its last 21 home games. The Bulls host the Heat on Thursday.

NBA: Boston has covered each of its last three games after going 1-4 against the number before that to improve to 27-26-2 against the spread this season.

NCAAB: UConn has played under the total in nine of its last 11 games overall.

NCAAB: Georgia has covered just three of its last 10 meetings with Florida and is 2-4 ATS over its last six overall.

NHL: Philadelphia has won nine of its last 10 games against the New York Islanders.

NHL: Toronto is 3-0-1 in its last four games, while playing under the total in four of its last five.

NHL: The Dallas Stars are 1-8-1 in their last 10 games.

Number Of Note

51.5 – So much for the theory that Dwyane Wade and LeBron James’ personal numbers would take a big dip when Miami put together the Big Three in the offseason. The duo are averaging 51.5 points combined per game so far this season. James sits second to only Kevin Durant putting up 26.2 points an outing while Wade sits fourth at 25.3, while Miami has won 11 of its last 12 games outright heading into Thursday’s date at Chicago.

Tips And Notes

The post-Carmelo Anthony era kicks into full swing Thursday in Denver when the Nuggets welcome Wilson Chandler, Danillo Gallinari and Raymond Felton into the lineup against the Boston Celtics. Denver coach George Karl plans to start Chandler at power forward, Felton at point guard and Gallinari at small forward with Arron Afflalo at shooting guard and Nene at center.

Even though the Dallas Stars are struggling through a major slump as they head down the stretch, GM Joe Nieuwendyk doesn’t expect to trade injured superstar Brad Richards, an unrestricted free agent at season’s end, before Monday’s deadline. Nieuwendyk admits he has talked to some teams about his No. 1 center, but Richards isn’t expected to play before Monday as he continues to battle post-concussion syndrome. Also, word out of Richard’s home town of Murray Harbour, PEI is that the Stars’ leading scorer hopes to sign an extension with Dallas, despite rumors of him possibly heading to New York or back to Tampa Bay. Dallas, which also activated Krys Barch and Adam Burish from the IR, is back in action Thursday at Detroit.

Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville is back with the team after being hospitalized last week with a small ulcer. The veteran coach was back at practice on Wednesday and will be behind the bench when the Blackhawks visit the Nashville Predators on Thursday. Chicago won three of four games with assistant coach Mike Haviland leading the team in Quenneville’s absence, but is still scrapping to secure a playoff spot in the air-tight Western Conference.
